Mission & Philosophy
PlayBig promotes play for all children. We believe in the superpowers of the coach-athlete relationship fostering mutual respect, trust, and achievement. Neuro-typical and neuro-challenged child athletes thrive when moving, engaging, and connecting. PlayBig offers a safe and stimulating space for each child athlete to playfully work alongside teammates and supportive coaches.

I have been working with children for nearly 20 years. My passion was ignited when my second child was born with neurological issues. As the medical community struggled valiantly to find a cause, the therapy community began helping my son and our family in very practical ways. After receiving an excellent Physical Therapy education at FAMU, I continued my concentration in Pediatric Physical Therapy, specifically Sensorimotor Processing Disorders, Autism, and Dyspraxia. My desire is for families to know that with quality intervention, the trajectory of their child’s life can be forever changed.

I have had a blast working with kids and their families over the past 10 years. I decided early on that I loved working in the realm of emotional and behavioral health. I earned a Master’s in Social Work from FSU and have gone on to get specialized training in play therapy, adoption, trauma, autism, infants and young children, and in several parenting curriculums. I have experienced no greater honor or responsibility than working alongside children, entering their world through their play, and witnessing their mastery and fulfillment.
